at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Asheville, One Edwin Place, Asheville 28801
Our fall concert, under the direction of our new Artistic Director, Allison Thorpe, who is also the Director of Choral Activities and Associate Professor of Music at Western Carolina University, will focus on songs about the strength of women, individually and collectively, to address social justice issues and build community.
This show includes songs by our own Lytingale and Martha Burrows, along with favorites by The Righteous Mothers, Kacey Musgraves, Rosephanye Powell, and the Wailin’ Jennys. These inspiring pieces all celebrate the power of women. From choral anthems to contemporary pop tunes, there’s something for everyone -- music to make you laugh, cry, and dance.
After Saturday’s performance, you will have the opportunity to meet Allison at a post-concert reception.
