Your generosity brought us very close to meeting our goal of raising $25,000 to carry us into 2022.

We also connected with you through Love Note Sharing.  See details here.

After missing audience contact and income from FOUR concert seasons, we had hoped to be back with you for a concert in  fall of 2021. We erred on the side of safety and cancelled our plans again.  We have not been inactive however!
Since the start of the pandemic,
  • Our director, assistant directors, accompanist,    Wise Woman Council (Board), and  members have kept our village together    - with grace and resilience.
  • We launched a new mission statement and logo.
  • We sang    every week.  We rehearsed via Zoom throughout COVID-times and moved to outdoor rehearsals for a couple months last spring and through fall 2021. Even maskless for one rehearsal. How glorious!
  • We produced a video of a new song, My Voice, My Vote, My Right, and in December 2020 produced the on-line concert, Womansong Reimagined.
  • We hosted a 2-session on-line workshop with gospel song leader, Kathy Bullock, for members & the greater community.
  • We sustained our ongoing commitment to providing scholarships for women at our regional community colleges and grants for women and children in transition through our New Start Fund.  In August nine recipients were awarded Womansong Scholarships. Take a look:   New Start    Scholarhips.   In addition, ten women in transition and their 24 children were helped by  Womansong New Start Grants so far this year.

  • We now plan to present a concert on May 20 & 21, 2022.  We resumed live rehearsals in February 2022, simultaneously livestreaming on zoom.

  •  Revenue from Concerts  normally provides 35% of our income.  So we are especially grateful for the generosity of our Sponsors and Donors who are sustaining us.

  • We have formed a Search Team to find and hire our next Artistic Director.

To continue to thrive, we need your love and investment as we realize our mission of Singing Together for Joy, Social Justice and Community.

Your love notes and investment:
  • Bring us joy
  • Bring our music to you and small audiences in our community
  • Sustain salaries for our directors and accompanist
  • Support the commissioning of new songs by female composers
  • Pay for technical assistance at our rehearsals and future concerts
  • Secure concert venues, whether physical or virtual
  • Host community workshops
  • Underwrite a portion of the New Start Fund

Your financial donation, large or small, helps us reach our goal of $25,000 for this campaign.
Your love notes  sustain our spirits.
